Greenleaf Storybook Cottage Dollhouse Build

​So we started this kit today and after working on it all day this is what we were able to complete in just one day. Beacon Hill Comes Home

It’s so hard to believe that we finished the Beacon Hill Dollhouse in just 11 months. This beauty was a beast lol. We used 1″ hemp rope from Home Depot for this first tree. They sell it by the foot so you don’t have to buy a large roll.

However, you can also make an artificial looking Christmas tree by using mini pine garland roping or you can use different color garland roping for different colored trees.

Miniature Dollhouse Arcade Game

This was so much fun creating. I opened up my PC the started illustrating my graphics. Not the best of art but as far as miniature goes it works out fabulous or at least I think so lol.

Foosball Table

Wow if this wasn’t intriguing. Every step made me more curious as to how I was going to make this one actually work. All in all I did it. However, dad came up with the wooden Foosball people idea which was an awesome idea. Although I ended up deciding to use erasers instead just because I really did not want to paint all those little wooden people lol Wooden would looked much nicer though but it’s not like the dolls will know the difference right lol I’ll post this tutorial soon along with the updated template. So in the USA we celebrate Halloween. It is one of the strangest holidays ever because everyone gets into the spooky holiday by dressing up as something funny, scary or just silly. However, it is also known as a time of witches, ghouls, goblins, and ghosts so that’s why I’ve made my Boo post!!!

this real quick like you see how this is really really sloppy and it looks like

really nasty-looking that is good because when you put the ground on it

the ground will fit in there and then it’ll look more realistic as opposed to

it actually just being one straight line and if it’s too much don’t worry about

it because you can always go back and add thicker ground to fill in where you

might have needed to thick just mix up a batch of thicker ground but you see how

that’s starting to look like tombstone cracks can like see I just kinda just

and the names make sure you get really thin over the names because otherwise

you’re grounded up and then you won’t be able to tell that there was a name there

your tombstone it’s okay if it’s a little rocky looking around the edges I

mean you do want to sand it a little bit and you can use a nail file to do that

but it’s okay if it looks a little bit rocky because it’s a rock basically

tombstones are usually made of very durable material like slate or marble

some sort of stone so it’s okay if it looks a little bumpy

alright so i’m going to use a pen and i’m going to show you the technique i

was just talking about while that’s drying you can do this with the ball

tool as well you just kind of want to just go and make your little cracks and

if you want to take your pen and kind of just pull some of that away you can do

just like that and then you can write the name on there so no we’ll just say

ok so now they’ve been granted they need to dry as well but you can see how gives

the tombstone a whole another piece of character kind of touch-up where I see

some pink there but ya see that now it’s got a little bit more character to it

and then another thing you can do is like you can kind of draw in objects if

you like and you know glue that and to do the ring here all I did was cut this

one an angle you can see part of its left here and I just inserted in there

right now i’m going to go ahead and spray paint these and i’m going to be

using a couple kind of paints it’s been hammered rest only him and some primer

and then I’ll also touch him up with some acrylic right I’ll be back okay so

which was a flat gray and then I did that metallic like multicolored gray and

when I did that I actually just missed it when they’re just to hit a couple

spots so you could still see that flat in between there and I even left some of

the brown grout showing in some areas so it looks

aged and now what I’ve done is I’ve added some water and some acrylic into a

bowl or into a saucer rather and i watered it down a lot like lots and lots

of water in there right then I’m going to take that watered-down acrylic and

i’m going to just kind of brush it in the crevices

ok then you want to kind of plot it like that to get the bulk of it off and then

you want to go in a different location and kind of go around and hit that be

sure to get a lot inside of where the lettering is that way it helps it on

first one I do is get the template off my website and cut all of the pieces

once you have the pieces cut then you want to take your large board and you

you’re going to use the wooden dowels that are square and you’re going to cut

them and then the smaller pieces are going to be your end and the larger

that’s what you want to do and then this side is going to be even with the edge

here you wanna make sure you’re gluing that right at the corner that way this

tape it where you wanted to go again all also uses for windows so you want to get

alright so now you want to put glue on your one side piece and then this the

under board this goes underneath of your table

well underneath your tabletop i should say make sure you’re doing it on a flat

surface glue that there then you’re going to take this one and glue it here

make sure it meets with the corner of here though don’t have it like that

because it’s not how it’s supposed to be ok now you want to do the same thing

with the side piece here and you want to do the same thing with the bottom piece

here and glue them on their make sure you have the edges all right now you

want to put a little bit of glue on the inside corner of your Dow and then

you’re going to attach it to their

you want to do that to all four sides for all four corners right now they’re

going to rest up against the side pieces and glue into there and then i’m going

to put a bead of glue around here just to help secure it you don’t need to but

and then you want to let that dry for at least two hours before you go messing

with it because if you mess with it before then it’s not completely dry you

end up with legs that are wonky right so i took a popsicle stick and I had it

flat or cut flat and I just kind of went around and pulled out the excess that

way it’s only in that thin corner next thing you’re going to want to do is

you’re going to want to masking tape it around so that you can be sure to keep

these nice and snug until they dry

ok so to make your net you want to take a piece of screen and then you want to

cut it and then what you’re going to do is take the extra piece of screen you

have left over and you’re going to pull one of the strands out of it and then

this is where you’re going to take this and you’re going to feed it inside of

no more you want to go around it constantly until you get to the end

probably about 10 times and then bring it back and i’ll show you how to end it

ok so once you have it what you want to do is you want to take the beginning

peace and the end piece and you just want to twist them together and then

once you have a twist it cut that off and then put some guerrilla krazy glue

alright so now i’m going to just attach the guerrilla krazy glue right down in

here and let it dry and these are just little round wooden dowels that come in

the craft section also going to put a little bit on the top here

and a little bit on the top over here now you want to stick it in something

like floral foam or styrofoam until it dries that way that you can keep it

ok so this is dry enough that i’m gonna paint it normally I paint my projects

when i’m done but this is something you want to paint before you do the rest of

it because it’s going to be really difficult to try and get this paint it

without hitting the top of the other one and i’m just using some acrylic you can

use some latex if you like and it will take multiple coats and you can paint it

be careful because it will come out in the blob if you squeeze it too hard like

it did for me so just kind of try and working it around everything

add more pain if you want I only did one coat because I wanted to see the wood

green and that’s all I’m going to do now i’m going to go ahead and put some glue

on the corners along the edge and then some in the middle and then we’re going

to attach the tile know that then you want to measure it and flip it over well

okay so now we went ahead and Mark where we’re going to put our holes and were

cutting deafen we’re cutting the bottom of this brown douse that the net is

attached to so that we can actually put them in their forgotten pre drill our

hole just very gently

and then you want to put a tiny bit of glue on here and then we’re going to

ok so now i’m just going to go ahead and put them in there put a little bit of

glue on the whole if you didn’t make your holes exact you can always adjust

should work now the next thing to do would be to put the sticker on that’s

Well I didn’t start the changing table as I planned to this week because I started a new project.

This one should take some time but most of the pieces are cut and ready to go.
